# Metric definitions

These definitions are the source of truth for every dashboard and report.

| Metric | Definition |
|---|---|
| **Activated account** | An account whose users launch their first checklist (`checklist_launched`) within **14 days** of signup (`signed_up`). |
| **Activation rate** | Activated accounts / accounts that signed up in the period, counting only signups at least 14 days old. |
| **MRR** | Monthly recurring revenue from active subscriptions. Annual plans count as 1/12 of the annual price. |
| **Day-90 revenue retention** | For accounts whose first payment was at least 90 days ago: MRR 90 days after first payment / MRR at first payment, summed over the cohort. |
| **Questions per account** | Internal questions about a customer account (asked to AskRight) per active account-month. |
| **Handling time** | Minutes a teammate spends answering a question, from the AskRight log. |
| **Acquisition source** | The HubSpot campaign that created the company, else its original source (organic, outbound, referral). |

**Who we serve.** Customer success and onboarding teams at B2B SaaS companies with 20 to 500
employees, usually running a CRM (Salesforce or HubSpot) and Slack.

## FY2026 goals

1. **Activation.** Raise new-account activation to **65%** by the end of Q4 (see metric definitions).
2. **Retention.** Keep day-90 revenue retention at or above **95%** for every acquisition source.
3. **Efficient growth.** Grow MRR 40% while keeping support questions per account flat or lower.
4. **Integrations.** Make CRM sync the reason customers choose us: setup in under 15 minutes.

# Salesforce sync setup guide

_Applies to the original Salesforce sync connector._

1. In Fernwell, open **Settings → Integrations** and choose **Salesforce sync**.
2. Sign in with an admin account and approve the requested permissions.
3. On **Object sync**, keep the default mapping (Accounts → Customers, Contacts → Users).
4. Click **Start sync**. The first sync finishes in about 10 minutes.

**Troubleshooting.** If the first sync fails, reconnect the integration from step 1.
